Users creating and updating HCMS content can send notifications to users who have subscribed to the relevant categories.
Important Notes
- You will first need to set up the HCMS Integration.
Instructions
- Make sure you have a Subscription List set up in CivicPlus Notifications with the applicable categories selected for the HCMS
- Create a Form
- Navigate to the Builder tab
- Add a Switch Element and fill out the fields
- Label: This is what will be displayed to the form users
- Default On: Choose whether or not to have the switch toggled on by default
- Required: Make the field required for submission
- Read Only: Set the field to "read-only" for the user submitting the form
- Show Conditionally: This option is used when you want the element to only be shown under a certain condition
- Click Save
- On the Workflow tab, add an HCMS Submission Event
- Select the Switch element you just created from the Notification Element drop-down
- Select the same HCMS Categories as the ones on your Subscription List in step 1
- Click Save
- The form will now have a toggle option to send users notifications when a form with an HCMS integration is submitted or updated
Note: Only users who are subscribed to the notification list for the specified HCMS category will receive notifications.
